Dynamics of energy consumption is one of the main indicators of the regional social and economic development. And, of course, the global economic crisis affected this indicator.

IDGC of Centre, JSC has declared a public contest on creation of the company’s corporate hymn.

In March, to support the company’s financial stability, IDGC of Centre, JSC attracted RUR 1.6bn of loan funds.

The amount of losses of the Company by the results of quarter IV, 2008, was RUR 47.5, that corresponds to the Company’s business plan results for the said period (the loss was expected to equal RUR 66m). The net income for 2008, as planned, was RUR 2.2bn.

A year ago, on 31 March, 2008, IDGC of Centre, JSC Uniform Operating Company was established. Belgorodenergo, Bryanskenergo, Voronezhenergo, Kurskenergo, Kostromaenergo, Lipetskenergo, Tverenergo, Smolenskenergo, Orelenergo, Tambovenergo and Yarenergo joined IDGC of Centre, JSC as its branches.

Dmitry Yurievich was born in the town of Grozny. IN 1989 he graduated from Grozny Oil Institute named after M.D. Millionshchikov with the major area of study ‘electrification and automation of technological processes and productions’ with the qualification of ‘automation engineer’.

Alexander Valerievich Yest graduated from Ivanov State Energy University with the major area of study ‘grid systems and networks’ and was qualified as ‘electrical engineer’.

Formation of the system of technical diagnostics of IDGC of Centre electric grid facilities is a part of the program on development and implementation of the IDGC of Centre asset management system and is aimed to increase efficiency of functioning of the technological complex.

Spring anti-flood actions developped in the company will reduce the risk of emergencies at IDGC of Centre, JSC’s facilities.

On the meeting on 6 March the Board of Directors, IDGC of Centre, JSC, considered the issues of preparation for holding of the Company’s annual general meeting of shareholders.

On 12 March, 2009, the travelling board of IDGC of Centre, JSC started working in Kostroma. General Director of IDGC of Centre, JSC, managers of the company, directors of the branches and representatives of executive bodies of the entities of the Central Part of the Russian Federation took part in its work.

The Board of Directors, IDGC of Centre, JSC, has approved the members of the Committee or Technological Connection to Electric Networks and elected its Chairman. The first meeting of the committee is down for 19 March. The meeting participants will elect Deputy Chairman and approve the work schedule for the first and second quarters of the current year.

The main aims of internal control are timely detection and analysis of financial and operational risks that may influence essentially on the financial and economic activity of the company and also provision of assets safety and efficient use of IDGC of Centre, JSC resources.

General Director of IDGC of Centre, directors of branches, representatives of enforcement authorities of the RF constituent entities of the Central part of Russia will take part in the Collegium's field meeting, which has become a tradition for power specialists.

The functioning of the electric grid complex of IDGC of Centre on holidays, from 7 March to  9 March 2009, was checked for durability by the changeable weather of the inter-season period. On 8 March it sleeted in the Tambov region; the squally wind was registered; wires were iced due to a descent of temperature.

IDGC of Centre, JSC has summed up the results of its work with the personnel in 2008 and defined the main tasks for 2009.

In order to provide reliable functioning of IDGC of Centre, JSC grid system during the holidays from 7 to 9 March, 2009, power workers will work in the mode of increased readiness.

The Committee for Technological Connection set up under the resolution of IDGC of Centre, JSC Board of Directors is a consulting body that supports efficient execution by the Board of Directors of its functions of general management of the company’s activity.
